Viper NVR Firmware
How to confirm a recorders firmware code:
Login to the recorder and navigate to "Settings > System > Information", next to "about this machine" click "View". The firmware code is shown in the firmware version number as highlighted here:

To update via USB:
1. Download the Firmware
2. Transfer the firmware file to a USB drive formatted as FAT32
3. Connect the USB drive to a front or back USB port of the recorder
4. Reboot the recorder
5. The Firmware upgrade will begin automatically, do not power off or unplug the system during the upgrade process
